A MAN accused of sexually assaulting five young girls has had his case transferred to the crown court.

Appearing this morning at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates' Court, Nicholas Gill spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.

The 34-year-old, of The Street in Barrow, near Bury, is accused of sexually assaulting five girls aged between 10 and 13. The alleged incidents happened in Newmarket and Bury.

His case will next be heard at Ipswich Crown Court on June 30. He was released on conditional bail.
