A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

Shaun Collier, of Chapel Street, Lowestoft, was arrested in the town on Sunday, October 14.

He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre and subsequently charged with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

Collier appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday, October 16) and has been remanded in custody.

The case has been referred to Ipswich Crown Court to be heard on November 13.
