Two crews were called to Corks Lane, Hadleigh, shortly after 12.30am today.
On arrival a single storey outbuilding was found 100per cent alight.
Using hose reel jets, the blaze was tackled within an hour.
A spokesman for the fire service said that Suffolk police had been informed of the incident which was being treated as suspicious.
Meanwhile, firefighters from Ipswich were then called to Main Road in Kesgrave where a fence was on fire.
After arriving at the scene shortly after 4.15am, firefighters tackled the blaze involving the three metre fence.
The suspicious blaze was brought under control within 15minutes.
