FIRE crews were called to rescue a trapped deer in Shotley Gate in the early hours of this morning.
One fire engine from Holbrook was called to the incident in Estuary Crescent at 4.42am.
Crews arrived to find a male muntjac deer which had become wedged upside down in a 20cm gap between the brick walls of a house and garage.
Crews released the deer from the gap by 5.27am.
The deer was unharmed in the incident.
