A Suffolk community choir’s Christmas concert has raised more than £300 for charity – and is set for a second outing.

Sing Out Yoxford’s annual celebration was held at St Peter’s Church in the village on Saturday when the choir sang a selection of festive songs and gave readings to a packed audience.

Organisers have praised the crowd’s generosity after more than £300 was raised for MS UK, which helps people with multiple sclerosis.

The choir’s John McMinn said: “If you missed this lovely event to kick off the Christmas season you have the chance to hear them again. The concert will be repeated on Saturday, December 9, at the Christmas Tree Festival in St Peter’s Church, Theberton at 7pm.”

Sing Out Yoxford was established four years ago and now has more than 40 regular members. They meet on Monday evenings in term time at Yoxford Primary School with musical director Gretel Dowdeswell. New members welcome.
