FORMER England and Ipswich Town manager Sir Bobby Robson has beaten cancer for the third time following surgery.
The problem was discovered during routine and unconnected surgery after a skiing accident when he suffered damage to his ribs.
A suspected cancerous growth on his lung was detected and it has been removed.
Sir Bobby, 73, has already battled with cancer twice in 1995 and 1992.
