SIX children have been killed after their school bus was hit by a train on a level crossing today.

SIX children have been killed after their school bus was hit by a train on a level crossing today.

30 more people were injured - three seriously - in the tragedy near the town of Allinges in the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps.

The bus was carrying 50 middle school children, five adults and a driver on a field trip to the shores of Lake Geneva.
