SIZEWELL B nuclear power station is currently running at half power after a turbine was taken offline following a steam leak.
Station owner EDF said investigations were being carried out into the problem, which was detected overnight.
A spokeswoman said: “Staff at Sizewell B have taken the decision to bring one of the turbines offline overnight reducing power output to 50%.
“Turbine generator 2 was brought offline following a steam leak from turbine-related pipe work, which is away from the nuclear area of the site, and investigations will be undertaken today.
“Sizewell B remains safely generating power for around 1million customers.”
