FIREFIGHTERS were called to the scene of a car crash where billowing smoke was seen in west Suffolk this morning.
Three engines were sent to the accident spot on the A134 at Barnham, near Thetford, after two cars collided just before 9am.
Smoke was seen coming from one of the vehicles and the two crews from Bury St Edmunds and one from Thetford assisted with making the scene safe.
A silver Mercedes and a blue Ford Focus were involved in the crash with the drivers suffering only minor injuries.
Police were forced to close the road to traffic until the vehicles were made safe and moved to the roadside. The carriageway was fully opened after recovery had taken place at 10.50am.
