There were delays on the eastbound A14 near Stowmarket shortly around 7.45am, when a car collided with a lorry. Police said traffic was held up for 30 minutes while the carriageway near Creeting St Peter was cleared. No-one was injured in the incident.

However there were no major delays reported on the region’s roads or rail networks during the rush hour.

A couple of train services were cancelled, due to “earlier train faults”. They were the 6.44am Lowestoft to Ipswich and 6.40am Great Yarmouth to London Liverpool Street services.

The weather forecast for Wednesday is for predominately cloudy conditions, maximum temperature 12 degrees celcius.

Tomorrow the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy again, dry, with the odd brighter spell. Temperatures will be slightly better than Wednesday, at 13 degrees celcius.
