Suffolk and Essex have seen some of the nation’s heaviest snow showers overnight and into this morning.
The Met Office has a yellow weather warning in place for parts of southeast England from last night until around 10am this morning.
Eastern parts of the region, including Ipswich, Colchester and Framlingham are reported to be affected.
The Met Office’s warning said: “Wintry showers are expected to affect southeast England through Sunday night and Monday morning.
“Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services. Some icy patches are likely to develop on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.”
Forecasters at Weatherquest, which is based in Norwich, said there would be scattered wintry showers across the south of the East Anglia region this morning with the risk of ice on untreated surfaces.

Overnight temperatures dipped as low as -3C near to the Suffolk/Norfolk border.
