PREMIER League champions King's Lynn have picked Birmingham for their play-off semi final opponents.

Lynn had first choice for the end-of-season promotion/relegation series after finishing top of the pile in the regular standings. The top four in the Premier League table will battle it out for the right to face the loser of an Elite League eliminator for a potential place in the top flight next season.

Lynn travel to Birmingham on October 7 with the return at the Norfolk Arena on Wednesday, October 14.

“The top four teams all look like tough opponents so it was far from an easy choice,” said team boss Rob Lyon. “But I feel that apart from one blip our record away at Birmingham is second to none.”

Stars' officials will announce the re-arranged date for their home Premier Trophy final against Edinburgh later this week with the Monarchs originally scheduled to visit Saddlebow on October 7.

Lynn's next fixture is this Wednesday against Birmingham in the Premier League regular season finale at the Norfolk Arena when the club will be presented with the championship trophy.

The Norfolk Arena box office will be open tomorrow between 5pm and 8pm for fans to purchase tickets in advance.
