A man was forced into a car in Southend and taken to Hockley where they seriously assaulted him Tuesday, October 7.
A 42-year-old man was taken into a car thought to be a dark coloured Rover, by three men on Marine Parade, opposite the Foresters Arms pub, Southend between 3 and 3.30pm.
He was then driven to an address in Hockley where he was seriously assaulted, leaving him requiring hospital treatment for injuries to his hand.
Investigating Officer Dc Layla Barker said: βIt was a pleasant day and there would have been numerous passing cars and pedestrians about on Southend seafront at the time he was forced into the car. This was a serious assault and I urge anyone who has any information to get in touch.β
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dc Layla Barker at Southend CID on 101, extension 470161, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
