After weeks of glorious sunshine and warmer temperatures we challenged our Suffolk iWitness members to shoot their best summer pictures - but it seems we may have jinxed the weather.
The British summertime is well known for its not-too-infrequent rain showers and this week has just proved it, but that didn’t stop our members from sending in their summer pictures.
While it hasn’t been as hot as recent weeks, our members were still able to capture the sun shining down on Felixstowe beach, Southwold’s lighthouse and bright and vibrant poppies in a field, all of which encompassed summertime perfectly.
This week’s challenge brought in a variety of different shots, with the winning photograph coming from Frances Crickmore, who submitted a picture of ducklings swimming among bright yellow leaves.
Next week’s Suffolk iWitness weekly challenge is Fantasy. This one is very much open to interpretation. It could be of dream locations you would like to live or something that looks like it was out of a fairy tale.
It really is one to challenge the creativity of our members.
To take part, become a Suffolk iWitness member - and you could see you pictures online or in one of our newspapers.
