A MOTORIST is today facing a hefty bill after damaging his sports car near Ipswich police station.
The driver of the Jaguar XK8 coupe was in collision with railings outside South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court at around 9am.
The car blocked part of the junction with Elm Street and Civic Drive while the driver, who was unhurt, waited for a recovery vehicle.
Police said the collision may have been caused by the failure of the car's automatic transmission.
