THREE fire crews were called to tackle a flat fire in Sproughton in the early hours of this morning.
The crews, from Princes Street and Ipswich East Fire Stations, were sent to Sproughton Court at 12.42am to reports of a blaze in a ground floor flat.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets to tackle the flames and rescued one man from inside, who was left in the care of ambulance paramedics.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 12.38am and an ambulance and officer attended the scene.
“One patient, a male, taken to Ipswich Hospital minor injuries.”
The incident was over by 1.18am and crews returned to their stations half an hour later.
