Police in Essex have carried out a series of checks on board a flight diverted to Stansted Airport.
Essex Police has concluded its series of security checks on board an Easyjet flight which was diverted to Stansted Airport shortly after 5pm on today.
The force was initially alerted to a potential security threat, but cleared the incident at 7pm with the assistance of Border Force and allowed the aircraft to continue on to its original destination, Luton airport.
No passengers were forced to disembark the aircraft.
