THE manager of pop star Pete Doherty has been charged with a number of offences in connection with a hit-and-run in Hadleigh which left a man fighting for his life.

THE manager of pop star Pete Doherty has been charged with a number of offences in connection with a hit-and-run in Hadleigh which left a man fighting for his life.

Andrew Boyd, 42, of Lady Margaret Road in London, is accused of careless driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an injury collision, failing to report an injury collision and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

He has also been charged with driving other than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.

Chris Corder, 42, remains in a critical condition at the Royal London Hospital after being seriously injured in the collision in Benton Street, Hadleigh, on Sunday, September 27.

Boyd is due to appear before magistrates in Bury St Edmunds on November 24.
