A dog stolen from London and found abandoned in Wrabness Woods was given life-saving medicine by Tendring District Council.
Ziggy, an Anglo Wolfdog, was stolen on Monday and found the next day.
Dog warden Adam McGoldrick scanned Ziggy’s microchip, which showed he was not only stolen but suffered with epilepsy and urgently needed drugs.
It is thought Ziggy was dumped after a seizure.
Mr McGoldrick said: “Ziggy’s owner is relieved he has been found safe and well, despite his ordeal.”
