A small controlled explosion has taken place this evening in Stowmarket as part of an ongoing investigation following the discovery of a number of weapons at a home in Wyverstone last week.
A number of items were removed from the property and taken to Stowmarket police station.
In order to ensure the items were disposed of safely the bomb disposal squad were called by police to carry out a controlled explosion.
The explosion happened just before 6pm this evening.
A cordon is also still in place at the Wyverstone property and officers remain on scene.
