STUDENTS have been creating hampers to help support a foodbank at Christmas.
Stowmarket High School students have been spending December filling baskets with food. The hampers have been donated to Stowmarket Foodbank to help people in need over the festive period.
Assistant headteacher Claire Ferguson said: “The thought and care that went in to creating and filling the hampers were overwhelming. There are 38 tutor groups in our school and all rose to the challenge of creating a box.”
The school provided each tutor group with materials to decorate the hampers, with funding coming from Suffolk County Council.
Prizes for were given out to students in a final year assembly.
