A man arrested on Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder following a collision in Stowmarket has been released on police bail.
The 24-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds is now due to return to the Bury St Edmunds Police investigation Centre on Wednesday 10 October.
At around 1.40am on Saturday a man was found on Navigation Approach, Stowmarket, having been hit by a car.
The ambulance service was called to the scene and the man was taken to West Suffolk Hospital. He sustained a number of injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening. He remains in hospital today in a stable condition.
