Teachers from two school areas will line up against each other for a match to remember a 15-year-old student who died from a rare heart condition.
It will be the second year the match has been held after Stowmarket High School student, Lily Webster, collapsed while on a trampoline in 2012.
Lily died from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome an unpredictable attack in people whose heart is structurally normal. The condition claims the lives of around 500 people each year.
The match will see teachers from the school and Stowupland High School areas play the game to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
Lily’s family has been supporting the cause and are looking to hold screening days where young people can check whether they could be at risk from similar heart conditions.
Stowmarket Town Football Club will host the match on March 6, kicking off at 7.15pm. There will be an entry fee of £2 which will support CRY. Last year 350 people attended, raising more than £800.
