STARS from the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing will be heading to Suffolk to pass on their tips to avid fans.

Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace have spent weeks working with their celebrity counterparts - Rachel Stevens and Phil Daniels respectively - during this year's series.

But the pair are now gearing up for their latest challenge - helping would-be Suffolk dancers improve their steps.

They have accepted an invitation from the Bedford Lodge Hotel in Newmarket to run a workshop followed by a dance night at the venue next year.

Noel Byrne, Bedford Lodge's managing director, said he was delighted the couple accepted an invitation to dance at the hotel.

“It promises to be an unforgettable evening, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see two of the finest dancers of their generation,” he said.

“Strictly Come Dancing is a television phenomenon, it has made ballroom dancing popular and fashionable again, brought it to the attention of a whole new audience. I have no doubt that the evening will be a huge success.”

Vincent and Flavia will be donning their dancing shoes and performing their cabaret routine as well as meeting fans and signing autographs during the dinner dance, which takes place on April 17 next year.

Tickets for the event are available from Bedford Lodge Hotel on 01638 663175 and cost £150 single/ £200 per couple for the dance workshop and £95 per person for the three-course dinner and dance.
