Mrs Jarman, who is best known for her books such as her Time Travelling Cat series, visited Wilby Primary School this week to chat to pupils.
Youngsters at the school dressed up for the day as their favourite book character with Mrs Jarman also getting involved in the fancy dress fun.
The author spent the day at the school leading workshops with all age groups at the school and also reading to pupils from some of her best known works.
She told pupils about what inspires her and how she mixes everyday experiences with the idea of ‘what if’ for her work.
Mrs Jarman, who has visited the school previously said: “This is my absolute favourite primary school the enthusiasm of the staff and the children and the tremendous welcome that I receive just can’t be matched!”
