Several outbuildings in a Suffolk village have been burgled over the same night.
Police said there were a total of five crimes – three in Bullace Lane, one in Blacklands Lane and one in Snape Road - in Sudbourne, near Orford, between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
In Bullace Lane a garage and three sheds were entered and searched but nothing appears to have been stolen. In Blacklands Lane an orange and white Stihl petrol strimmer was stolen after a shed was broken into. And in Snape Road two mountain bikes were stolen from a shed. Both bikes were later recovered nearby by police.
It is thought the incidents are likely to have occurred around 3.15am on Sunday morning as one resident was alerted by their dogs barking and then saw a male described as about 6ft tall and wearing a grey hooded top, with a torch, fleeing.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has information, call Suffolk police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously if required, on 0800 555 111.
