An entrepreneur has saved plenty of cash by shopping locally.
Penny Wilby is the driving force behind the new Sudbury section of www.thebestof.co.uk – which showcases the best local businesses based on recommendations. Practising what she preaches, Ms Wilby has spent this month shopping solely in Sudbury and Hadleigh – and anticipates being £200 better off by the end of May.
“When I go the big supermarkets, I always get taken in by the offers,” she said. “There’s something refreshing about being served by someone who owns the business and really cares about it.”
Ms Wilby will be at Sudbury Farmers Market on May 30, showing-off local fashion products on a mannequin.
