POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was assaulted while she was walking her dog.
The incident happened on Tuesday in Tudor Road, Sudbury, at about 6.30pm when a 16-year-old girl was walking a dog across the playing field of a school.
A man approached her and tried to speak to her and as she passed him, he grabbed the back of her coat – she managed to get free and ran home.
The girl was not injured in the incident.
The man is decribed as white, of slim build, in his mid 30s, has very short dark hair and was wearing a black hooded top with a logo on the front – he was also wearing a pair of dark coloured square glasses.
People who recognise the description of the man, or witnessed the incident, should call PC Lucy Rout from Sudbury on 101, quoting crime reference SU/13/101
