Sudbury: Woman charged following stabbing incident and due in court today

A 46-year-old woman is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following an incident in Sudbury.

Sonja Malyon, of Hoxter Way, in Sudbury, was arrested after police were contacted on Thursday night to reports that a 43-year-old woman had arrived at the West Suffolk Hospital with a number of stab wounds to her upper body.

Officers began an investigation into what had happened and interviewed Miss Malyon. She was subsequently charged and has been detained to appear at court.

She has also been charged with producing cannabis after a plant was found during searches
