Insurers across Suffolk and north Essex have raised £4,600 for charity with a whole host of events.

Suffolk Mind and Suffolk Age UK benefited from the cash raised by the Insurance Institute of Suffolk and North Essex (CII) over the past year, with the good causes chosen by 2016/17 CII president Colin Low, of Kingsfleet Wealth.

Events included a 15-mile Monopoly Walk around London, a pub quiz and silent auction at the annual dinner.

The money was shared equally between the two charities.

Jon Neal, chief executive of Suffolk Mind, said: “We’re delighted and very grateful to the CII for the money raised during Colin Low’s time as president.

“Thank you Colin and all involved in the Institute of Insurers.”

Jo Reeder, fundraising manager for Suffolk Age UK, added: “Suffolk Age UK are delighted to have worked with the CII and their president throughout the year – the money that has been raised this year will help to fund vital services and support for some of the county’s most vulnerable older people.”
