Brisk winds hit the region today but it has been unseasonally warm for this time of the year.
Temperatures for the region ranged between 21C and 24C in places but over the border in Norfolk it topped 26C.
Weybourne recorded what is being described by Dan Holley at the Norwich-based Weatherquest as the October day since 2011 and “likely the latest we’ve recorded 25C in any year.”
Storm Callum battered parts of Wales and western England yesterday but Suffolk and north Essex is unlikely to see any such extreme weather this weekend.
After a breezy night last night, Saturday was dry and bright, and temperatures hit 26C.
It will be another mild night across the region, with minimum temperatures falling to 15C to 17C.
It will not feel as warm on Sunday, with high temperatures of around 16C.
Looking ahead to next week, Monday is forecast to be dry and bright before some rain and wind could move in on Tuesday.
