Animal rights protestors held one of their regular “vigils” at a Suffolk slaughterhouse this morning.
Suffolk Animal Save attended Eye Poultry in the north of the county to “bear witness to the chickens heading to slaughter”.
The group, which has more than 2,000 Facebook followers, holds vigils outside several slaughterhouses, including Eye Poultry, on a regular basis.
Protestors are urged by organisers to hold the vigil “peacefully” and “ignore any acts of provocation”.
Members of the public reported seeing “quite a lot of activity in the area”.
Suffolk police officers were in attendance to supervise the vigil, however there were not reported to have been any disturbances.
It is understood the events are organised in agreement with the police and businesses.
Recently, Suffolk Animal Save supported Ipswich Animal Save at its first vigil.
The groups promote vegan lifestyles.
