Suffolk families enjoyed traditional sports day games at an event set up to encourage people to become more active while raising funds for an organisation supporting parents.
Suffolk Babies’s first Family Sports Day saw 300 people take part in games such as an egg and spoon race and sack races at the Millennium Field in Kesgrave.
The event, which is hoped to become an annual fixture, raised almost £500 for Suffolk Babies, which provides antenatal education and support for parents.
Suffolk Babies’ Jo Cresdee said: “Suffolk Babies wanted to create an event that encouraged people of all ages to take part in activities without the pressure of elitist sporting goals.”
BBC Radio Suffolk’s Sarah Lilley competed in a sack race against school children, while well known Suffolk runner Tim Deroy-Chennells dressed as a baby for the “Chase the Baby” 5km race.
