A care worker who stole money from a person who has dementia has been spared prison.
Caroline Castle-Read, of St David, Newmarket, admitted theft of £50 between April 19 and 25 last year at an previous hearing before Ipswich Crown Court.
The 46-year-old returned to the court for sentencing and was given a 12-week prison term, suspended for 18 months.
She must also pay £1,200 costs.
Castle-Read had been caught on CCTV stealing money from the victim’s purse.
