Fire crews have been called to a series of small incidents across Suffolk this evening.
At just before 5pm a crew from Sudbury went to Little Waldingfield to deal with a tree and hedgerow fire.
A Suffolk County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “A crew from Sudbury were sent to this hedge fire at 4.47pm. Crews found approximately 50 square meters of undergrowth, hedgerow and trees on fire. “Crews initially struggled to find a water source but brought the fire under control by 5.16pm.”
In Reydon, firefighters from Southwold were called to tackle a shed fire, which was reported at 6.15pm but dealt with by 6.45pm.
A crew from Ipswich East fire station went to deal with a log on fire in Orwell Country Park at 6.20pm while in Lowestoft one crew went to a bonfire out of control in Durban Road at about 7.30pm which was out within five minutes.
