ENGLAND footballer Ledley King was today banned from driving after he was caught speeding in Suffolk.
King, 30, of Cuffley in Hertfordshire, had previously admitted speeding on the A14 near Newmarket, Suffolk, in June, and was sentenced when he appeared before magistrates in Sudbury.
The Spurs player had argued that he had been travelling at no more than 95mph in a black Mercedes Benz CL car - not the 105mph recorded by a policeman using a laser speed gun.
But at a hearing last month magistrates ruled that the footballer had been correctly clocked at 105mph.
He was banned from driving for 56 days.
