A strike by firefighters in Suffolk and Essex has finished without any major incidents.
The walkout was organised by the Fire Brigades Union who are in a row with the government over pension plans.
Today’s strike, the fourth to take place in recent months, happened between 10am and 2pm.
In Essex there were six false alarms, one call to rubbish on fire and three collisions on the county’s roads during this time.
A reduced service operated in the county during the action but plans were in place to deal with any major incidents, where life was at risk.
