More major fires have broken out at farms across the county.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was first called to a tractor on fire in Red House Lane, Leiston, at around 11.10am.
Four crews from Saxmumndham, Aldeburgh and Leiston have attended and found the fire had spread to an acre of stubble field and some bales of hay or straw.
A fire service spokesman said the crews were working to stop the fire from spreading, using three hose reels.
Just minutes later, at around 11.30am, a further fire was reported at Hill Farm in Chelmondiston, south-east of Ipswich.
Six engines from Princes Street, Ipswich East, Holbrook, Chatteris, and Woodbridge were on the scene by soon after noon - and a further two were on standby.
The service spokesman said it was a standing crop fire, but no other details were available.
Since then, crews have dealt with smaller outbreaks of fire in Borough Green, near Newmarket, the Beccles to Bungay road, Chediston and Cavenham.
The fires follow a busy period for the service, which has faced frequent fires across the county, often in crop fields, as “tinder dry” conditions make for challenging circumstances.
