Firefighters have brought in specialist equipment as they attempt to rescue a horse from a ditch in north Suffolk.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of an animal in distress in Bramfield, near Halesworth, just after 8.15am.
Crews from Halesworth and Lowestoft have been trying to free the animal using a Unimog all-terrain vehicle and specialist lifting equipment.
A spokesman for the fire service said the crew had freed the horse by 10.19am.
The horse was left in the care of a vet, who had also been called to the scene.
