The John Peel Centre for Creative Arts in Stowmarket is preparing for week of music and film by announcing the winner of their poster competition, run in partnership with the University of Suffolk.

The centre is taking part in Independent Venue Week (IVW) for the third year running, supporting emerging artists of all disciplines and as part of that ethos, JPC volunteer Steve Crooks approached University of Suffolk to run a competition with their Graphic Design students to design a poster for the week.

Earlier this month Matthew Ranson was chosen as the winner and his poster is now out and about.

Sheila Ravenscroft, Patron and Director at the John Peel Centre, said: “We are absolutely delighted to provide opportunities that support emerging artists. Matt’s design is great and we are thrilled to have such fantastic volunteers, such as Steve, to make this kind of thing possible.”
