A Suffolk Highways van is stuck in the six foot deep hole, just off the A134, which is filled with water.

Anglian Water sent someone to investigate after the EADT contacted them for comment.

Road closures are in place, with signed diversions. The hole is on Felsham Road, near the junction with Linkwood Lane.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “We currently have a team at Felsham Road in Little Whelnetham repairing a burst water main after it was reported to us late this afternoon.

“We are sorry for any disruption caused to customers and road users as a result of some damage to the road surface. We expect to have the repair completed this evening and will be updating the In Your Area section of our website www.anglianwater.co.uk so customers can get the latest information.”
