FIREFIGHTERS have been called out to buildings across Suffolk damaged by lightning strikes
Crews from Beccles and Bungay spent nearly two hours at an address in Old Market, Beccles, after a bolt of lightning caused electrical damage to flats.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the emergency services arrived at 5.13pm yesterday and got the scene under control by 7.02pm.
Meanwhile crews from Wentworth and Saxmundham were called to a building struck by lightning on Narrow Way, Wenhaston.
Crews arrived at the scene at 6.14pm and the incident was declared under control at 6.48pm.
