TWO people have been arrested in connection with robberies at stores in Suffolk and Norfolk.

A 29-year-old man, from Bury St Edmunds, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robberies, dangerous driving and failing to stop for a police officer while a 40-year-old woman, from Northampton, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robberies and fraud by false representation.

The arrests are in relation to incidents at the Co-op in Church Street, Sheringham on August 8, the Co-op in Main Road, Clenchwarton on August 22 and the village stores in High Street, Laxfield on September 5.

The pair are being held in custody at the Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre.
