Around 150 off-duty Suffolk police officers joined 30,000 colleagues from all over England and Wales in London today to protest at cuts to police services.
The Police Federation of England and Wales organised the demonstration to show its concerns about the consequences of 20 per cent cuts for public safety and what it claims is a disproportionate attack on policing by the government.
A sea of black caps were worn to highlight the number of police officers due to be lost due to the savings required.
