MID Suffolk council leader Tim Passmore will be the Conservative candidate for the county’s first every police and crime commissioner election in November.
He beat Suffolk Coastal council leader Ray Herring and former county councillor David Card to win the party nomination today.
In the election itself he will be up against Labour candidate Jane Basham and any independent candidates who stand for the 70,000-a-year position.
