An appeal for information has been launched after two teenage girls were approached by a man acting inappropriately.

On Thursday, December 13 a 14-year-old girl was approached by an unknown male in the Wells Hall Road.

The man made an inappropriate comment towards her but made no further approach.

It was also reported that a second teenage girl of a similar age was approached later that day. Police say that this is yet to be confirmed but inquiries are ongoing.

On Tuesday, December 18 a 13-year-old girl was followed from Ingrams Well Road to the Sainsbury’s store off Lucas Road, at around 8.20am.

The suspect made no direct approach but has been described as 5ft 5in tall, with light brown hair and a clean shaven face.

He was wearing a black Nike tracksuit.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has knowledge of the incidents should contact Suffolk Constabulary on 101, quoting CAD 412 of 13 December 2018 or 37/73050/18 for the incident on December, 18.
