The A11 has reopened following a serious collision involving a motorcyclist on Christmas Day.
The motorcyclist, riding a blue Kawasaki, was initially reported to have life-threatening injuries while paramedics treated the man at the scene near the Fiveways roundabout.
Suffolk Constabulary and the East England Ambulance Service both attended the scene of the crash.
They were later taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with what a spokesman for Suffolk police described as “severe injuries”.
The incident happened around 5.30pm on December 25 between the B1085 Red Lodge junction and the A1065 near Barton Mills.
A sliver Vauxhall Vectra was also involved in the collision.
A stretch of the A11 was shut until around 10pm last night but has since been reopened by Highways England.
A team from the East Anglian Air Ambulance and a volunteer doctor from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service attended the incident.
