Four people have been injured and one has been taken into police custody following a fight near to an Ipswich tower block.

Suffolk police were called to reports of disorder near to St Francis Court in Franciscan Way at around 6.50pm.

A police spokesman said: “We have one person in custody for disorder,

“We have up to four possible victims involved.

“None of them have suffered life threatening or life changing injuries.”

A heavy police presence could be seen outside the shop at the foot of the tower block shortly after 7pm.

Suffolk police said officers were continuing to investigate the incident.
