The owner of three “aggressive” Staffordshire bull terriers is reported to have punched an older dog walker in the face after an incident in a Suffolk park.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was walking his cocker spaniel on the playing field at Tye Green, Glemsford, when the assault is alleged to have happened.

His spaniel was chased by the three Staffies and he tried to intervene. However the Staffies are then reported to have become aggressive. While he tried to get his dog, the man who owned the Staffies is said to have punched him in the face causing bruising to his face and jaw.

The suspect is described as around 5ft 8ins tall, slim and in his late teens to early 20s, with short fair hair. He was wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

He was with a white man, who was around 6ft 5ins tall, very slim and aged in his late 20s to early 30s, with dark hair and jogging bottoms.

A third man was with the other two was described as 5ft 7ins tall, slim and aged in his late teens to early 20s.

One of the Staffies was large, dark and tan with three legs, one was a smaller and and another was small and black.
