Police have been given extra time to question three men who were arrested in connection with burglaries in Suffolk, including a ram raid at a post office in Glemsford on Sunday.

A superintendent authorised a 12-hour extension of the custody time limits on Friday afternoon for the trio.

A 29-year-old man from the Beccles area, a 27-year-old man of no fixed address and a 47-year-old man from Great Cornard were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

They are currently being questioned at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
